St. Vrain Basin Study <br /> 2 . Joint Use Exchange Study <br /> 3 . San Luis Valley Aquifer Study <br /> 4 . Clear Creek Project <br /> 5 . Basinwide Poudre River Study (proposed) <br /> Added Agenda Item - Report on the 1984 Flood in Colorado <br /> Mr . Larry Lang reported that the 1984 spring runoff <br /> flooding throughout western Colorado resulted from rapid <br /> snowmelt. The flood peaks occurred on May 25 and 26 . A flood <br /> of record occurred on Tomichi Creek near Gunnison and a <br /> 100-year flood event occurred on the Gunnison River at Delta. <br /> The Colorado River mainstem downstream from Glenwood Springs <br /> experienced a 40-year flood event. <br /> Flood damages were estimated to total $31 million from <br /> floods which occurred in 20 counties . Fourteen Western Slope <br /> counties received federal flood disaster declarations which • <br /> made federal public assistance funds available to public <br /> -4- <br />
