such uses and purposes as are described in items 4, 5 , 6, 7, <br /> and 8 below. <br /> 4. The District shall dedicate for public access and use in <br /> perpetuity a buffer strip around the reservoir which <br /> shall extend no less than 100 feet in horizontal distance <br /> from the elevation contour at 7211 feet above M.S .L. <br /> (a) It is expected that with the normal high water level of <br /> the reservoir being at about elevation 7202 feet above <br /> M.S .L. , the buffer strip will vary in width from 150 <br /> to 300 feet. <br /> (b) The District shall cause a pedestrian hiking trail to <br /> be constructed and maintained within the buffer strip, <br /> but above elevation 7211 feet above M.S .L. , from the <br /> dam embankment westerly along the entire south side of <br /> the reservoir so as to ensure public access on this <br /> side of the reservoir . <br /> 5 . Approximately 200 acres of land on the north shore of the <br /> reservoir in the vicinity of Martin Creek shall be developed <br /> by the District as a public park and recreation area, with <br /> facilities for picnicking, hiking, overnight camping, and <br /> boating. <br /> • <br /> -4- <br />
