The Director shall request the Attorney General to file <br /> Statements of Opposition on behalf of the Board whenever potential <br /> injury, regardless of magnitude, exists to a Board water right. <br /> 2 . The staff will review the technical data upon which the <br /> appropriation, which is the basis of a Statement of Opposition, is <br /> based. <br /> 3. The staff will present the technical data to the Board <br /> with a recommendation to either ratify the Statement of Opposition <br /> and proceed to protect the Board ' s water right or withdraw the <br /> Statement of Opposition. <br /> Following Board discussion, Mr. McDonald moved, seconded by <br /> Mr. Vandemoer, that the Board approve statements No. 1 and No. 2 <br /> and modify statement No. 3 to read: "The staff will present such <br /> technical data (from No. 2) and make recommendtions. " The motion <br /> was adopted unanimously. <br /> Item 18c, Ratify Statements of Opposition <br /> Mr. Jencsok referred to Mr. McDonald' s March 8, 1984, <br /> memorandum to the Board on five Statements of Opposition. He <br /> stated that they pertain to changes in water rights which could <br /> lead to a noticeable injury to some of the Board ' s water rights <br /> (Appendix P attached) . <br /> Mr. Vandemoer moved, seconded by Mr. Lochhead, that the <br /> Statements of Opposition be ratified. The motion was unanimously <br /> adopted. <br /> Item 18d, Informational Items <br /> Due to the lateness of the time, Mr. McDonald suggested that <br /> these items be left for later reading by the Board. These were <br /> summarized in Mr. McDonald' s, March 8, 1984, memorandum to the <br /> Board (Appendix Q attached) . <br /> Agenda Item 19 - Review of Proposed Bureau of Reclamation (BR) <br /> Study on High Mountain Groundwater Aquifers <br /> Mr. McDonald briefly discussed this proposed study, stating <br /> that a conceptual "Plan of Study" had been received from the <br /> Bureau of Reclamation (BR) .
