The Board members agreed with this recom- 40 <br /> mendation. <br /> Agenda Item 16 - Request for Feasibility Studies <br /> Mr. McDonald briefly discussed the applications for CWCB <br /> construction funds received from the North Poudre Irrigation <br /> Company and the Overland Ditch and Reservoir Company to conduct <br /> feasibility studies. State funds would furnish one-half of the <br /> cost of the studies, totaling $12, 500 and $100,000, respectively, <br /> for the two companies (Appendix L attached) . <br /> Mr. Johnston moved," seconded by Mr. Jackson, that the requests <br /> be approved. Motion adopted unanimously. <br /> Agenda Item 17 - Floodplain Resolutions <br /> The following resolutions were presented for Board <br /> consideraion and approval: <br /> a. Flood Insurance Study, Canon City, Colorado, dated <br /> May 3, 1982, Resolution No. 229. <br /> b. Flood Insurance Study, Longmont, Colorado, dated August <br /> 1, 1983, Resolution No. 230. <br /> c. Flood Hazard Area Delineation, Marcy Gulch, Douglas <br /> County, Colorado, dated February, 1983, Resolution No. <br /> 220 (Appendix M attached) . <br /> Mr. Johnston moved, seconded by Mr. Furneaux, that the Board <br /> approve the resolutions as recommended by the staff. Motion <br /> adopted unanimously. <br /> Agenda Item 18 - Instream Flow Program <br /> Item 18a Preliminary Notice, Water Division 4 <br /> Gene Jencsok referred the Board to the list of Division 4 <br /> streams for preliminary notice (Appendix N attached) . There are 76 <br /> streams listed, all in the Gunnison basin. The staff has met with <br /> the Division of Wildlife in Montrose and with the Division Engineer <br /> and discussed each of these streams . Notice was mailed to a large <br /> list of interested parties, but no comments were received. <br /> Mr. Jencsok recommended that no action be taken. <br /> 18d Policy Issues Regarding Instream Flow Program. <br /> Gene Jencsok suggested a change in the order of the agenda, so <br /> that the policy issues concerning Statements of Opposition could be <br /> discussed next. He referred the Board to the memorandum on this <br /> item, which discusses the question of when the Board should file <br /> Statements of Opposition.
