m <br /> v <br /> 13 <br /> 0 <br /> c <br /> m <br /> 0 <br /> Feringa dated December 2, 1948. ) <br /> m <br /> CHAIN DER: I have received since my arrival here <br /> in Denver a letter dated December 9, 1948, from Mr. Dixon, 0 <br /> giving further comments of the Department of the Interior on <br /> 0 <br /> the Compact draft of November 10, and explaining in effect the <br /> w. <br /> conference discussion that we had in Oklahoma City, which I <br /> have previously reported upon. I will ask the eeeretary to <br /> place a copy of this letter upon the record of this meeting. <br /> However, I am not quite yet prepared to distribute Copts*, <br /> although I have them here now available. I will defer that <br /> distribution until a little later in our session, because I <br /> apprehend that once this letter gets before you it will in- <br /> trigue you to the point of interfering with our conduct of <br /> other business, and it will come up, of course, at a more <br /> appropriate Juncture in our proceedings. <br /> I want to report that upon the invitation of Judge Stone <br /> I attended a meeting of the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br /> which was .held here in Denver on Friday and Saturday, December <br /> 10 and 11 of last week. <br /> If and when I receive replies from the Federal Power <br /> Commission and the Department of Agriculture, I will, of <br /> course, transmit them to the state Chairmen, and I would <br /> like to ask the Commission to permit this record to be kept <br /> open for the purpose of placing that correspondence, if and <br /> when received, upon the record of this meeting.
