The need for the improvements is a result <br /> of the State Engineer's Office dam safety requirements. Smith Geotechnical, Inc. of Fort Collins <br /> commenced design in late spring 1998. Construction is scheduled for the fall of 1999. <br /> Ryan Gulch Reservoir Company—Ryan Gulch Dam Rehabilitation <br /> Authorization: SB 99-173 County: Larimer—S. of Loveland <br /> Water Source: Big Thompson River Project Yield: 645 ac.ft. <br /> • Terms of Loan: $317,500 @4.25%for 30 years Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> This project is the rehabilitation of the Ryan Gulch Dam which includes the construction of <br /> a new spillway, lining the upstream face of the dam with a clay liner, sleeving the existing 24-inch <br /> outlet pipe, and constructing a new upstream controlled inlet works. Boyle Engineering, Inc. of <br /> Denver has been contracted to complete the project design which is scheduled for construction for <br /> the fall of 1999. <br /> Riverside Reservoir and Land Company—Riverside Reservoir Spillway Rehabilitation <br /> Authorization: SB 98-1189 County: Weld—NW of Wiggins <br /> Water Source: South Platte River Project Yield: 200 ac.ft. <br /> Terms of Loan: $450,000 @ 3.75%for 20 yrs. Project Type: Spillway Rehabilitation <br /> This project is the construction of an emergency spillway on the Riverside Reservoir Dam, <br /> located 11 miles northwest of Wiggins in Weld County. The State Engineer has placed a storage <br /> • restriction on the reservoir until an emergency spillway is completed. The Riverside Reservoir and <br /> Land Company contracted with W.W. Wheeler and Associates of Denver to prepare construction <br /> plans and specifications. The State Engineer's office is currently reviewing the plans with <br /> construction scheduled to commence and be completed in late 1999. <br />
