Projects Under Construction Greeley and Loveland Irrigation Company— Equalizer Dam Rehabilitation • Authorization: SB 98-1189 County: Larimer—E of Loveland Water Source: Big Thompson River Project Yield: 885 ac.ft. Terms of Loan: $308,000 @ 4.21%for 30 years Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation This project is the rehabilitation of the Greeley &Loveland Irrigation Company's Equalizer Reservoir located east of Loveland. The project includes replacement of the dam outlet gate with a new structure, which will incorporate both the outlet gate and a spillway. The existing dam embankment will also be raised almost four feet. ECI Consultants, Inc. of Englewood prepared the construction plans and specifications with the construction contract awarded to Schmuesor and Associates, Inc. of Wheatridge, CO. Construction commenced on November 16, 1998 and was completed in early March 1999. Project documentation and final accounting is currently underway with substantial completion scheduled for late March 1998. Wamsley Cattle Company-Pole Mountain Dam Authorization: HB 93-1273 County: Jackson—SW of Walden Water Source: Off-Stream Drainage Project Yield: 1,905 ac.ft. IP Terms of Loan: $45,000 @ 3%for 40 years Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation This dam rehabilitation project commenced in March 1994 by the owners of the Wamsley Cattle Company. The project consists of replacing the reservoir's outlet structure and improving the dam's upstream slope. The work is 99% complete with the final inspection by the State Engineer's office recently completed. A punch list of several items needs to be completed before the State Engineer will approve the reservoir's filling plan. Substantial completion is scheduled for May 1999. Buffalo Mutual Irrigation Company—Buffalo Mutual Irrigation Diversion Structure Rehabilitation Authorization: SB 97-008 County: Prowers—E of Lamar Water Source: Arkansas River Project Yield: 17,560 ac.ft. Terms of Loan: $378,750 @ 3.75%for 30 yrs Project Type: Diversion Structure This $325,000 project is the re-construction of the Buffalo Mutual Irrigation Company's diversion structure and headgate on the Arkansas River in Prowers County 17 miles east of the City of Lamar. Wright Water Engineers of Denver, Colorado completed project design and preparation of construction contract documents. The construction contract was awarded to TLM Constructors, Inc. of Swink, Colorado and construction commenced September 21, 1998. The project is 99% • complete with project documentation and final accounting currently underway. Substantial completion is scheduled for April 1999.
