I 1 2.8 Small Project Loan Account IIn 1994 through SB94-029,the General Assembly created the Small Project Loan Account. A total of$2.0 million was set aside for loans of$100,000 or less. The CWCB was empowered to I authorize these loans at any time during the year without waiting to submit these projects for General Assembly approval during the legislative session. I There were five loans totaling$281,700 from the Small Project Account approved by the Board in FY95-96. However,the total amount actually under contract,or$210,000, was less than the total amount approved by the Board. A balance of$1,875,000 was reported by COFRS to be in the Iaccount on June 30, 1996. Two additional projects have been approved by the Board in the first half of FY96-97, so as of 1 January 1, 1997, $1,590,000 was available in the account.
