I <br /> 2.7 Emergency Infrastructure Repair Account II <br /> In 1993 through HB 93-1273,the Legislature authorized the Board to set aside $2.0 million of I <br /> Construction Fund money in an account reserved for emergency repair of water resources <br /> infrastructure systems to avoid potential economic losses. The money in the account is continuously I <br /> appropriated to the Board for immediate availability primarily for emergency repair of water storage <br /> systems or water distribution systems. The account is intended to provide flexibility for the Board <br /> to make funds available in a timely manner in situations similar to the emergency that developed at I <br /> Sanchez Reservoir in 1992. <br /> The Board approved 3 emergency loans in FY 94, 2 emergency loans in FY 95, and no <br /> I <br /> emergency loans in FY 96. The balance in the Emergency Infrastructure Repair Account was <br /> $1,532,501 on June 30, 1996. <br /> Two additional emergency loans were approved by the Board at their November 1996 meeting. I <br /> Considering all projects authorized by the board, as of January 1, 1997, there was $1,040,000 <br /> available in the account. <br /> I <br /> The following projects have been authorized by the Board through the Emergency Infrastructure <br /> Repair Account.
