No
connection to the Company's water mains shall be permitted until the property owner(s)
agrees to abide by these Rules and Regulations.
10.4 SERVICE WITHIN THE SERVICE AREA. Any property owner(s) within the Service
Area desiring Company water service shall contract for water service with the Company.
The Commission, at its discretion, may amend the Company's water service contract
form.
At the time of executing the contract, the property owner(s) shall pay the required tap
fee(s). See Article VI and Appendix A. The property owner(s) shall agree to pay the
Company the cost of the equipment and installation of any necessary distribution line(s),
water meter(s), appurtenant equipment, and required or requested fire hydrants. The
customer shall make arrangements with the Company for any required water main
extensions. See Article VII, Section 7.1 and Appendix D. The customer shall also agree
to pay the cost of any necessary attorney fees.
At the request of the property owner(s), the Company shall provide a non-binding
estimate of the installation cost for the distribution line(s), meter(s), appurtenant
equipment, water mains and any required or requested fire hydrants.
Upon request of the Company, the property owner(s) shall furnish satisfactory evidence
of inclusion within the Service Area. Satisfactory evidence includes a tax receipt, or
certification in lieu thereof, received from, and signed by, the County Treasurer.
The property owner(s) shall deed to the Company any easement required for the
construction of the distribution line, meter, and any other necessary equipment. The
property owner(s) shall also grant the Company an easement to enter and repair the
Company's equipment.
ARTICLE XI. DISCONTINUANCE OF WATER SERVICE.
11.1 TEMPORARY DISCONTINUANCE OF WATER SERVICE. Customers may request
a temporary discontinuance of water service for a period not to exceed six (6) months.
One-half the minimum monthly rate shall be charged while the water service is
discontinued. The Company reconnect fee, as set forth in Appendix C for a requested
temporary discontinuation of water service, shall be charged for the reconnection of the
water service.
11
