22 <br />Literature Review <br />A review of existing literature sources will be made to support <br />the Step 02A and Step 02B portion of the Adequacy Analysis. This re- <br />view will be initiated as soon as funds become available. <br />The purposes of the literature review are to <br />o Surface the highest quality and most <br />current information sources (includ- <br />ing ongoing studies and programs) <br />for use by Federal and State agencies, <br />Regional Sponsors, and other part- <br />icipants in conducting the 1975 Assess- <br />ment. <br />o Identify problems and associated as- <br />sumptions on the basis of available in.'- <br />formation sources, such as <br />Ongoing and completed framework <br />studies and coordinated comprehensive <br />joint planning studies <br />Western U.S. water plan and other <br />planning studies in WRC regions <br />without framework studies <br />Federal and State data bases and <br />research programs <br />Other significant sources surfaced <br />under the first purpose above, <br />o Avoid the possibility of the assessment <br />unnecessarily overlapping or duplicating <br />other studies and programs. <br />
