Last Chance Ditch Company The Se lected Project Alternative #4 was selected. Last Chance Ditch Company is planning to replace the existing headworks structure �vith a similar headgate and install the overshot gate. Last Chance may elect to add the overshot gate at a later date but infrastructure will be in place when they decide to add the gate. Features of this alternative are as follows: o The existing wooden and concrete structure will be replaced by quality headgates and reinforced concrete �valls, floors, and footers. o T�vo headgates will be installed to allow for controlled delivery to the ditch with minimal maintenance and improved safety features and include room for an optional third gate. o Structures will be in place for the installation of the optional overshot gate at a later date. An overshot gate �vill allow the Last Chance Ditch Company to release water back to the river and allow for allocated water to be taken during times of lo�v river flo�v. o The chosen design lo�vers the invert elevation of the headgate of the ditch slightly and allows for allocated �vater to be delivered to the ditch more easily. o Concrete footers will be incorporated into the design to aid in avoiding scouring and erosion around the structure in order to ensure a long useful life. The existing and proposed site layout is included in the append� along �vith a detailed dra�ving of the ne�v head�vorks structure. Cost Estimate The estimated total project cost is $117,464.23. AGPROfessionals, LLC has performed preliminary project planning and engineering designs in 2009. The earthwork and construction bid was also developed in 2009. AGPRO's opinion of probable cost was developed according to RSMeans calculations and current cost data at that time.
