Lake Canal /Holbrook Ditch Eligible for NRHP <br />2. Sandhill Site Eligible for NRHP <br />3. Prairie Dog Site Eligible for NRHP <br />* None of these sites are located in an area to be affected by the project <br />Problem Identification: <br />Major problems identified in the watershed during scoping are: <br />1. Selenium, Uranium and salt loading is occurring throughout the majority of <br />. the watershed, impairing offsite water bodies such as the Arkansas River and <br />Horse Creek. <br />2. Selenium, Uranium and salt loading is impairing the surface and ground <br />water within the watershed thereby effecting livestock water as well as fish <br />and wildlife habitat. <br />3. Irrigation induced seeps are widely distributed throughout the watershed. <br />The net effect being reduced production potential of the irrigated cropland. <br />4. Irrigation water quantity shortfalls. <br />16 <br />
