SECWCD <br />March 17, 2005 <br />4 <br />RECORD OF PROCEEDING <br />After discussion, Mr. Bailey moved, for the approval of the benefits package, retroactive where <br />applicable, as presented effective January 2005, seconded by Mr. Goodwin. Motion unanimously <br />carried <br />KANSAS /COLORADO COMPACT REPORT: <br />Mr. Broderick introduced David Robbins who gave a very educational presentation on the <br />Kansas /Colorado Compact issues. <br />Mr. Broderick then recognized that it was Leann Noga's and Phil Reynolds birthday, and a cake <br />was brought in to acknowledge their birthdays. <br />President Everett recessed the meeting for lunch at 11:30 a.m., and reconvened at 12:22 p.m. <br />DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & PROJECTS REPORT: <br />Water Users Meeting <br />Mr. Reynolds reported the First Annual Water Users Meeting sponsored by the District was held <br />March 2, 2005 at Pueblo Community College. He said there was a great turnout, with <br />approximately 100 participants in attendance. Mr. Reynolds said each of the staff introduced <br />themselves and gave a brief description of their role with the District. The presenters were as <br />follows: <br />• Phil Reynolds SECWCD History and Scope of the Fry -Ark Project <br />• Jaralyn Beek BOR News from the Bureau of Reclamation <br />• Steve Witte Div. 2 Engineer Moving Water Along the Arkansas River <br />• Pat Edelmann USGS How Dirty is Our River? <br />• Bob Hamilton SECWCD Drought & Snowpack Conditions <br />• Jim Broderick SECWCD Allocation of Water <br />• David Robbins Hill & Robbins Kansas /Colorado Compact <br />Mr. Broderick said he has received several calls with positive comments, and thanked the Board <br />members who attended and supported this effort. President Everett also thanked the staff for a <br />job well done. <br />Quarterly O &M Report <br />Mr. Reynolds provided the Board with the following: <br />• O & M Expenses for FY 2005 <br />• O & M Expense 6 -Year Comparison —lst Quarter FY 2005 <br />Mr. Reynolds said the first quarter looks good. <br />
