Water Rights: Project water rights are owned by Pine
River Irrigation District. Article 13 of the District's
repayment contract provides the District "the use and benefit of

retained by the United States to use the Vallecito Dam and
Reservoir for flood control and other purposes not inconsistent
with any rights acquired therein by the District . .".
