- Enlist the involvement of appropriate individuals involved <br /> in the use of economic simulation models to project drought <br /> related economic impacts on a regional and statewide basis. <br /> See Appendix 2 for a consensus of the applicability of current <br /> models and a list of some key individuals involved in Economic <br /> modeling in the State as of May 1981 . <br /> - Identify assessment resource gaps and necessary tools for <br /> effective assessment procedures, take action to meet these <br /> assessment needs. <br /> - Provide recommendations for mitigation and response to actual <br /> and potential economic drqu9h_t impacts,, <br /> Operational/Procedures <br /> Assessments. Task Force will use the present resource capabilities of <br /> its member agencies to accomplish its assessment, Resources will be <br /> focussed on generating assessments on the particular regions of the State <br /> most adversely affected by the drought. <br /> Reports. Monthly assessment reports will be developed and submitted to <br /> the Review and Reporting Task Force as well as to lead response agencies. <br /> Significant Task Force activites will be reported weekly for inclusion in <br /> the Drought Project Situation Report. <br /> Activation/Deactivation <br /> Task Force will be activated and deactivated in accordance with the "Drought <br /> Severity Indicators and Sequence of Actions." A final Task Force report will <br /> be submitted upon termination of Task Force activities. <br /> Expenses <br /> All Task Force members will serve without special compensation. Special <br /> funding requirements to support Task Force Assessment activities will be <br /> reported to the Review and Reporting Task Force. <br /> Public Information <br /> Task Force Chairperson will coordinate public information releases concern- <br /> ing economic impacts of the drought among Task Force agencies as well as <br /> with other Impact Task Forces. <br />
