4. Regional Outlook
• Western Livestock Roundup - monthly
5. Pests
• Grasshopper Reports - Fall , Spring, Summer
G. Use of Data
Input data will be used to help assess the scope of current and
expected drought impacts. Analysis of the threats leads to recom-
mendations for supplementing or changing the intensity and mix of
inter-agency drought program activities. Appendices 2, 2(a) , 3,
and 3(a) contain checklists used by the County Emergency Boards
and the State Emergency Boards to determine impact of emergencies.
Additional actions may be devised by the Task Force to fit the
current opportunities and needs.
H. Outputs
Task Force efforts must result in several essential products:
1 . Review of existing drought reporting and analyzing capabilities
in relationship to current and/or potential threats
2. Inventory of additional or special resource availability, costs,
and procedures for activation
3. Identification of key contact points with support service
agencies and agricultural industries
4. Identification and description of response actions that are
available
5. Projection of impacts of drought to agricultural economy
6. Recommendations or responses to drought impacts
7. Procedures for coordination with other task forces
I. Reports
The intensity and extent of drought will dictate as to the frequency
of reports. In a severe drought, reports will be issued on a weekly
basis. In a moderate drought, the reports will be made monthly. Re-
ports will be issued to the following:
• Review and Reporting Task Force
• Other governmental agencies
Special reports will be issued as conditions may warrant or as requested.
C-4-6
