comment and review prior to broader distribution electronically. For budgeting purposes, we have
assumed each hard copy draft report circulated to the 30 member steering committee will have
approximately $1,000 in expenses for printing and distribution.
Information regarding the website will be distributed through the Steering Committee and made
available through the 1177 Roundtable Process and the Recovery Program Management Committee
structure if desired. Grand River will provide updates to the members of the participant "Roundtables"
throughout 2007. These updates will be provided electronically, pointing interested parties to the web
site for more information.
Direct communication with State and Federal legislators is generally outside the scope of this work. Any
general information updates to related sta.keholder groups will be done under the direction of the
executive committee. The purpose of any communication regarding the 10825 project is to keep the
federal funding partners informed so that future funding of the implementation that may involve any
federal projects will be anticipated.
It is not anticipated that a formal public information and media involvement process will be undertaken
through this phase of the 10825 project. Additional public involvement is expected to occur through the
members of the Steering Committee as they report on the status of the project to their boards, members,
local Round Tables, and community organizations. Material will be made available on request for
members of the Steering Committee that refers others to the web site for additional information
throughout the proj ect.
4.3 Data Collection
A variety of studies have already been completed for many of the potential project elements. The
objective of these existing studies has often been related to the supply of water for purposes other than
the Recovery Program. However, some existing studies have addressed the 10825 water user obligation,
or other 15-mile Reach objectives. Conceptual-level designs, cost estimates and environmental studies
for the Phase 2 Study will be based on this existing data to the extent possible.
Data, analysis and modeling tools from the Colorado Decision Support System will also be used
extensively throughout this project.
In this work task, the Study Team will collect and review available information related to each structural
and non-structural element. Data or information regarding project design, project costs, hydrology and
water supply, environmental resources, and institutional issues will be obtained. Existing studies on
Sulphur Gulch Reservoir, Wolcott Reservoir, Roan Creek Reservoir, Buzzard Creek Reservoir and the
Orchard Mesa Irrigation District Improvements have been performed within the past 5-7 years.
Information in these reports will be relied upon, although the study team intends to contact original
sources to determine if additional unpublished information has been developed that would inform the
10825 study. Efforts will be made to identify data gaps and to collect available information from
cooperating project sponsors and consultants to fill these gaps.
10825 Phase 2 Scope of Work Revised May 25, 2007 per CWCB request Page 10
