The Irrigation Company
has prescriptive landrights for the canals and laterals. There is no
apparent need for and no costs have been estimated ,for relocation
assistance and real property acquisition.
Current cost - sharing from P.L. 566 funds are: local organizations
must pay at least 50 percent of the construction cost allocated to
structural works of improvement for irrigation, acquire and pay for all
necessary land and water rights, and defray costs of operation and
maintenance. Project construction costs are estimated to be $489,240;
$244,620 would be borne by P.L. 566 funds and $244,620 by other funds.
Initallation costs are estimated to be $648,900; about $391,390 (60.3%)
would be borne by P.L. 566 .funds and $257,510 (39.7 %) by other funds.
4
