If additional copies are needed <br />based upon Public Interest, the MRCG will authorize the printing of <br />additional copies. All final documents will be provided to Federal agencies <br />on CD. <br />Task 7. Public Hearings on the DEIS. <br />The Consultant shall assist the Federal agencies in conducting four (4) Public <br />Hearings for receiving public comments on the DEIS. The Consultant shall <br />be responsible for public announcements, presentation materials, arranging <br />for the meetings and hiring of a court reporter (if necessary). <br />Phase II. Preparation of the Final EIS (FEIS) <br />Task 1. Review of Comments Received on the Draft Environmental Impact <br />Statement. <br />The Consultant shall review the comments received on the DEIS and prepare <br />an initial categorization of comments. The USCOE, other cooperating <br />agencies and the MRCG, shall review the categorization of the comments for <br />the purpose of preparing responses. <br />Task 2. Preparation of Responses to Comments Received on the DEIS. <br />The Consultant shall prepare an initial response to the comments received on <br />the DEIS. The Federal and cooperating agencies and the MRCG, shall <br />review the responses to the comments received on the DEIS. The Consultant <br />shall work closely with MRCG and its consultants to avoid any duplication <br />of effort. <br />Task 3. Final EIS and Supporting Documents. <br />The Consultant should be aware that the actual dates for completion of the <br />draft and final documents may change after project scoping and the dates <br />presented in this task are solely for the purpose of preparing the contract <br />budget. The Consultant shall assume that ten (10) copies of a preliminary <br />FEIS and supporting documents shall be submitted for review by the Federal <br />and cooperating agencies and the MRCG no later than June 26, 2009. After a <br />30 -day review of the preliminary FEIS, the Consultant shall incorporate <br />comments mutually agreed to by the Federal agencies, cooperating agencies, <br />and the MRCG. The Consultant shall submit a reproducible original Final <br />EIS to the Federal agencies no later than September 30, 2009.
