1989 Asked by local Trout Unlimited Chapter to assist in reviewing minimum standards <br />for sediment related to their appeal of a Forest Plan. Standards were <br />incorporated, <br />1988 Appointed by Administrator Department of Natural Resources and Conservation <br />to Technical Advisory Committee on instream flow protection strategy for the State <br />Water Plan. <br />1987 Appointed by Montana Governor's office to the Clark Fork River Interagency Task <br />Force/Work Group on instream flow. <br />1986 Requested by U.S. Forest_ Service to participate in designing a national continuing <br />education course on fish habitat. <br />1985 Requested by BPA to serve on the Steering Committee for White Sturgeon <br />Research in the Columbia River Basin. The committee recommended research <br />priorities and approaches. BPA will ; use this information to fund several million <br />dollars of research during the next decade. <br />1983 -1984 <br />Invited by Bonneville Power Administration to assist in developing research needs <br />for white sturgeon. <br />1983 Subpoenaed by legal council for biologists from Montana Department FWP to <br />testify on the subject of professionalism. The group was in the process of <br />establishing a collective bargaining unit (Montana Association of Fish and Wildlife <br />Biologists) for the purpose of upgrading professionalism in the State by, among <br />other things, setting a minimum requirement of an MS degree for biologist- level <br />positions. The Association was ratified. <br />1982 Requested by Montana Department FWP to serve as expert witness in arbitration <br />hearing on gold dredging in the Missouri River. Permit was denied. <br />1980 Requested by Montana Department FWP to aid in setting research priorities in the <br />areas of instream flow needs. <br />6.
