� <br />� <br />RRWCD Compacc Compliance Pipeline <br />Scope of Work <br />August 30, 2007 <br />Study Tasks — The scope of work and project execurion plan includes 7 tasks, which are <br />summazized below: <br />Task Description <br />1. Review of Review available data and analyses to facilitate identification of <br />Information basic Project concepts and sizing of project features. <br />2. Formulation of Formulate three altemative project configurations representing <br />Altematives reasonab►e variations on the location of source weils, pipeline <br />alignments to interconnect the source of wells and deliver water to <br />the North Fork, and the location of the water delivery point on the <br />North Fork. <br />3. C�nfirmation of Confirm the suitability of the three altematives to meet Project <br />Afternatives objectives through discussions with the DistricYs water rights and <br />legal advisors and with DWR representatives. Make any needed <br />adjustments to the three alternatives. <br />4. Evaluation of Compare and evaluate the alternatives based on the following <br />Alternatives factors: <br />• Tota! cost (construction and O&M). <br />■ Construction issues, if they should differ significantly <br />among the alternatives. <br />■ Political and social acceptability. <br />■ Financial feasibility of the Project and impacts on the <br />water user fees in the District. <br />5. lmplementation Based on current plans of the District to seek federal funding for a <br />Plan portion of the project, potential permitting issues and potential <br />local inputs on Project enhancements, and consultant experience, <br />prepare an achievable Project Implementation Plan ("road map") <br />to guide future steps of planning, design, and construction of the <br />Compact Compliance Pipeline. <br />6. Presentafion of Present the findings to the District at a regularly scheduled <br />Findings Quarterly Board Meeting in October, 2Q07. Gain general <br />concuRence on the preferred Project configuration. <br />7. Documentation Concurrent with Tasks 5 and 6, prepare a draft study report and <br />obtain review inputs from the District, its water and legal advisors, <br />and the DWR.
