r • <br />- 2 - <br />Whereas rights of land owners and water users in the area are carefully considered <br />and protected by virtue of State Water laws, and the proposal of the Bureau of <br />Reclamation that no water distribution systems will be required nor permanent <br />repayment units to be proposed until the full effect of the trans - mountain diver- <br />sion and the adequacy of the supply has been demonstrated, and <br />Whereas water is so vital to the sound and stable economy of the State of Colorado, <br />it is of importance to every citizen of the State that water be conserved and <br />regulated for productive purposes and every step be taken to avoid water leaving <br />the state unused, <br />Therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Loveland that the <br />Colorado Water onserva ion Board be urged to approve the proposed construction <br />and operation of the Narrows project as a vital step in the progress and future <br />prosperity of our great State of Colorado and to take such steps as it deems <br />appropriate to assure that the United State Congress appropriates such funds as <br />may be necessary for the purpose4't <br />
