RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the Bureau of Reclamation conforming to the Pick -Sloan <br />plap for flood control and irrigation for the Missouri River drainage <br />area, was given the carrying out of the flood and irrigation project <br />known as the "Narrows Dam" and has performed a considerable amount of <br />preliminary work on the project, and <br />WHEREAS, some objection has arisen to the proposed project and <br />del4yed further preliminary work, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Sterling, Colorado, at a <br />legal meeting held in Sterling, Colorado on May 27, 1952, discussed <br />and considered the said Narrows Dam Project aid <br />WHEREAS, the said City Council was of the unanimous opinion that <br />top construction of said project will be of special value to Northeastern <br />Colorado, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Sterling, Colorado does hereby approve and strongly endorse the construc- <br />tion of the "Narrows Dam Project" and urges that work thereon be resumed <br />and carried to completion without delay according to the plans of the <br />Reclamation Bureau. <br />That a certified copy of this resolution be sent to the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board; a copy to 'each of our two U. S. senators and <br />a copy each to our Congressmen; and a copy to the Regional Office of the <br />Bureau of Reclamation at Denver, Colorado. <br />/s/ 0'.
