Board Treasurer Diane Lothamer noted that the correct amount on the
Alperstein & Covell invoice should be $4907.51 because they gave us a
discount of $297.50. Adding in the other bills, the total for Operational
and Other Expenses Payable would be $37,704.48.
Diane Lothamer moved approval of Operational and Other Expenses
Payable in the amount of $37,704.48. Bill Trampe seconded the
motion. The motion carried.
19. MONTHLY BUDGET REPORT
Board Treasurer Diane Lothamer said that Gunnison Bank and Trust is
giving 1% on certificates of deposit and that she does not want to lock in
for a longer time period, so she does not plan to open any new accounts
at this time. She said that last year's projected expenditures were
$624,000 but that $450,000 is closer to what actually was spent, and
the extra will go into the reserve.
20. FUTURE MEETINGS
The Aspinall Operations Meeting will be on January 31, 2002 at 12:30
p.m. at the Montrose Pavilion.
February 12 is a possible date for a joint meeting with the Gunnison
County Commissioners with a short, informational meeting after that.
The manager will check with the Gunnison County Manager and Cindy
Covell on dates.
February 21 is the date for the Water Management Plan meeting to take
public input on the first draft. Comments should be submitted prior to
that date, or at meeting.
The next Upper Gunnison District regularly scheduled board meeting will
take place on February 25, 2002 at 7:00 p.m.
On February 4, 2002 at 8:00 a.m. there is a Colorado Water Congress
State Affairs Committee meeting.
21. EXECUTIVE SESSION
Greg Peterson said that this will be a continuation of the executive
session held earlier in the meeting relating to a possible stay in litigation
in the Black Canyon case, a potential agreement with the UVWUA , the
District's proposed RICD water right application, and a proposed
Memorandum of Agreement with Gunnison County.
