Ken Spann moved to oppose House Bill 03 -1113 as drafted. <br />Brett Redden seconded the motion. The motion carried. <br />Bob Drexel moved to oppose House Bill 03-1146 as written and <br />authorize staff and legal counsel to serve on a committee to <br />rewrite it. Brett Redden seconded the motion. The motion <br />carried. <br />John McClow said that there is a new bill being introduced by Weisman <br />and Gordon. House Bill 03-1195 would require that all water conservancy <br />district board members be elected. <br />Steve Glazer moved to support House Bill 03 -1195. He expressed concern about Creekside <br />Coalition's proposed amendment last year to outlaw fishing for state fish <br />on private property. John McClow said that he has not yet seen any <br />legislation relating to recreation. Mr. Schumacher said he would like to see <br />the board make a motion that they will support historical recreational uses <br />(fishing). <br />Steve Glazer said he would offer Mark assurance that we are looking out <br />for recreational interests with the caveat John gave us, that we need to <br />look at each bill as it comes up. <br />Page 4 of 8 <br />
