COLURADO WATER GQNSERVATIQN BOARD <br />Page Two <br />The mission of Colorado Farm to Table is simply to cultivate and grow fresh produce and <br />provide it at no cost to low-income families throughout Colorado through distribution by <br />foad pantries, foad warehouses, saup kitchens and individuals. Founded in 1997, CFTT <br />is a Colorado Corporation and 501 (c) (3) Public Charity. ln 2007, Colorado Farm to <br />Table provided 114,476 paunds of praduca at na cost ta families who cannot affard it. <br />Over 200 valunteers donated 1,230 hours of labor in addition to the 3,987 hours worked <br />by the Project Manager. CFTT currently farms (9) acres in Salida (Chaffee County), <br />Cfllorado. <br />The proposed use of grant funds significantly increases The District's abilify #o manage <br />its water for the next 25+ years and plan strategies for the growth in water demand that <br />inevitably will come. The mission of Calorado Farm To Table depends on the availability <br />of this clean water. CFTT also recognizes that agricuftural needs must be balanced <br />against projected populafion growth from municipalities and industry. A hydrologic water <br />balance study is clearly needed at this time to properly manage our valuable supplies. <br />Colorado Farm to Table, Inc.
