There are three separate studies to this contract including bioassays,
culture methods and fish behavior. The title and objectives are as
follows:
Habitat selection, spawning behavior and early life history
of northern squawfish with inferences to Colorado squawfish.
Objectives:
1) To describe the spawning biology of the northern squawfish;
2) to describe early life history characteristics of northern
squawfish;
3) to describe habitat selection, species interactions and seasonal
movements of subadult and adult northern squawfish;
4) to compare behavior of young-of-the-year northern and Colorado
squawfish, humpback chub and other species.
Developing culture and spawning techniques for northern
squawfish and culture techniques for Colorado squawfish and
humpback chub and histopathological effects of selected toxicants.
