Generally, the library consists of a group of computer programs
giving the user the following capabilities: (1) conversion of a monthly
flow time series at a point to a monthly habitat time series by interpol-
ating habitat values from a WUA vs. 0 curve obtained from running PHABSIM
for an ascending range of discharges. Given monthly flow values, a
habitat value is extracted for each month and entered in the habitat time
series file; (2) analysis of one or several habitat time series on the
basis of critical life stage, aggregation of several sites into a summary
index, plotting of time series, plotting of habitat duration curves,
extraction of summary statistics and comparative plots of time series and
habitat duration curves under two or more conditions.
WUA time series may be produced for the following specified combina-
tions:
1. Single life stage at a single site.
2. Critical life stage at a single site.
3. Multiple life stages at a single site.
4. Single life stage weighted sum at several sites.
5. Multiple life stages weighted sum at several sites.
The program library COLLIB which contains the CRFP program is
accessed using the procedure file PCOL (see Appendixes A and C of the
Use's Guide to the Physical Habitat Simulation System for a description
of procedure file use). Each procedure in PCOL is described in the
following format:
a) Procedure name.
b) Example of the execution command.
c) Description of the execution command file substitutions.
d) Description of what the procedure does.
Routines in PCOL
The following procedure files are presented by name followed by
an example of an execution statement for the file.
Note: When inputting a two-line title be sure to include informa-
tion that uniquely identifies the data in the file including units. Do
not repeat file titles exactly. It will not help for future reference
or report writings.
