<br />PRESIDENT'S REPORT: None <br />EDUCATION BUSINESS: <br />District Technician, Gary Miller, explained that check #6905 for $1,500 which was included in the <br />December bills and made out to the Children's Water Festiva12000 was not from the District but was <br />grant money the District received from the Conservation Fund for the Water Festival. <br />Gary Miller said that he has talked to Dr. Foster of the RE-1 Valley School District in Sterling <br />regarding the "LlitderstarTdiirg Water Activi .ty Book ". Dr. Foster stated that it may be very possible <br />to incorporate the activity booklet into next year's curriculum for at least one class. <br />MANAGER'S REPORT: <br />Included in Manager Schott's report were the following: <br />• Director Fender made the motion that the District not narticipate in the Sed c?jc_k <br />County Spn•ng Expo which will be held on January 26, 2000. Director Lin een <br />seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimouslv. <br />• The Board directed District staffto begin planning for a spring water user's meeting <br />to be co-sponsored with the South Platte Lower River Group sometime in early <br />March. <br />• The City of Fort Morgan will be dedicating their new water system on January 20`?. <br />All Board members are invited to attend. <br />• The District will be sponsoring a booth at the Ogallala Aquifer Symposium on <br />Februaa-j 18, 2004 at Northeastern Junier College in Sterling. - <br />• District Technician, Gary Miller, will be attending the Greeley Farm Show on <br />January 27'. The District co-sponsors a booth at the Farm Show with the Central <br />Colorado Water Conservancy District. <br />• Manager Schott asked for suggestions on how to dispose of the two old computers <br />C the District no longer needs. After discussion it was deternuned that initially the <br />District should try and sell the computers through a bid system.
