VI. TECHNICAL COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS FOR 1983-1984: <br />The Council made the following assignments: <br />A. Lower Basin Boundary Waters Committee was made a <br />"standing sub-committee" of the Technical Committee <br />with a progress report due the council at its next <br />meeting in 1984. <br />B. The Technical Committee is to evaluate the acid rain <br />problem further and report back to the council on <br />the "problem" and what kind of a program is needed <br />to address the problem. <br />C. The Technical Committee is to prepare a comprehensive <br />status report on grass carp and tilapia in each of the <br />basin states which includes the feasibility of managing <br />these species. <br />D. The "Warm Water Fish Hatchery Task Force" was made a <br />standing sub-committee of the Technical Committee with <br />a report due at the next meeting. <br />E. The council directed the Technical Committee to review the <br />Colorado River Wildlife Council operation and by-laws and <br />come up with recommendations for changes if needed. <br />F. All other "standing" committees of the Technical Committee <br />are to continue functioning with reports due at the next <br />meeting. <br />1. Prohibited and Protected Committee <br />2. Endemic Species Committee <br />3. Striped Bass Committee <br />4. Fish Disease Committee <br />John Donaldson announced that it would be Arizona's turn to chair the <br />full Technical Committee; Nevada's turn to chair the Lower Basin Sub- <br />Technical Committee; and Wyoming's turn to chair the Upper Basin Sub- <br />Technical Committee. <br />VIII. ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS <br />A. Financial Report <br />John Donaldson read his report, which is attached as Exhibit M. Will <br />Molini moved that the financial report be accepted as read. Bud Bristow <br />seconded, and it carried unanimously. <br />10
