VI. TECHNICAL COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS FOR 1983-1984:
The Council made the following assignments:
A. Lower Basin Boundary Waters Committee was made a
"standing sub-committee" of the Technical Committee
with a progress report due the council at its next
meeting in 1984.
B. The Technical Committee is to evaluate the acid rain
problem further and report back to the council on
the "problem" and what kind of a program is needed
to address the problem.
C. The Technical Committee is to prepare a comprehensive
status report on grass carp and tilapia in each of the
basin states which includes the feasibility of managing
these species.
D. The "Warm Water Fish Hatchery Task Force" was made a
standing sub-committee of the Technical Committee with
a report due at the next meeting.
E. The council directed the Technical Committee to review the
Colorado River Wildlife Council operation and by-laws and
come up with recommendations for changes if needed.
F. All other "standing" committees of the Technical Committee
are to continue functioning with reports due at the next
meeting.
1. Prohibited and Protected Committee
2. Endemic Species Committee
3. Striped Bass Committee
4. Fish Disease Committee
John Donaldson announced that it would be Arizona's turn to chair the
full Technical Committee; Nevada's turn to chair the Lower Basin Sub-
Technical Committee; and Wyoming's turn to chair the Upper Basin Sub-
Technical Committee.
VIII. ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
A. Financial Report
John Donaldson read his report, which is attached as Exhibit M. Will
Molini moved that the financial report be accepted as read. Bud Bristow
seconded, and it carried unanimously.
