As a cattle rancher, <br />he has gained first-hand knowledge of private as well as public aspects of resource use and <br />management. He has taught at the university level in range economics and ranch inventory <br />and management planning. He has also combined economics and optimization techniques with <br />range science and practical management. At PIONEER, he has served on several projects as <br />NEPA document project manager and resource manager as well as head environmental <br />inspector. He has displayed expertise in management and on-the-ground decision making while <br />adding understanding of the environmental compliance process to his credentials. <br /> <br />Representative Projects <br /> <br />Telluride Ski Area Expansion. Project manager working with the U.S. Forest Service to <br />complete an EIS for this major Colorado ski area expansion. <br /> <br />Aspen Highlands Expansion Project Project manager working with the U.S. Forest Service <br />to complete an EIS for this major Colorado ski area expansion. <br /> <br />Reservoir Management Planning Project. Project manager on this interdisciplinary team <br />working under Bureau of Reclamation supervision to produce management plans and <br />associated NEPA analyses for 14 Utah and Wyoming reservoirs. <br /> <br />Uinta Basin Lateral Natural Gas Pipeline. Head environmental inspector on this pipeline <br />project in northwestern Colorado working under the Bureau of Land Management and the <br />Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. <br /> <br />Publications <br /> <br />Dr. Evans has published more than 10 technical reports, papers and articles. <br />
