Prior <br />to joining PIONEER, he worked in range management, vegetation/habitat analysis and fire <br />control for federal agencies and spent several years as social scientist and natural resource <br />development specialist on government-funded projects in Africa. With PIONEER, he has <br />served as a project manager and natural resource management specialist, and has <br />demonstrated expertise in social as well as natural science, environmental compliance, <br />rangeland management, reclamation/rehabilitation and technical writing. <br /> <br />Representative Projects <br /> <br />Crested Butte Expansion. Project manager on this Colorado ski area development project, <br />with the U.S. Forest Service as lead agency. <br /> <br />Central Valley Water Reuse Project. Pioneer's project manager working with the Department <br />of the Interior and the Central Utah Water Conservancy District on this major federal water <br />project. <br /> <br />Eldora Mountain Resort NEPA analysis and Master Plan. Project manager in completing <br />an EA and master development plan revision for this Front Range ski area, under the direction <br />of the U.S. Forest Service. <br /> <br />Barrett Resources Corp. Parachute/Greasewood Natural Gas Pipeline. Project manager <br />completing an EA for the Bureau of Land Management for this 3D-mile pipeline. <br /> <br />Publications <br /> <br />Dr. Artz has published more than 20 technical reports, papers and articles. <br />
