1 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br />On November 14, 1995, the contractor (R.W. Jones) began clearing and grubbing operations, <br />using a Cat D6 dozer and a Case 40 trackhoe excavator. <br />November 15, 1995, the contractor began stripping (6-inches) operations in waste area and <br />' structure excavation areas using a Cat D6 dozer. The excavation of evaporation ponds for water <br />quality control was also initiated. <br />Coffer Djim Construction and Removal <br />On November 20, 1995, the contractor began upstream (Forebay structure location) coffer dam <br />t construction. A Cat D6 dozer, Case 40 trackhoe, Clark 175B front end loader and a 12 cubic <br />yard end dump truck were used to construct the coffer dam. <br />t November 25, 1995, the contractor completed construction of the upstream coffer dam. <br />' December 13, 1995, the contractor set 10-foot sections of "K" rails (median barriers) and sand <br />bags to divert the flow of water from the downstream coffer dam. A Cat D6 dozer pushed <br />excavated material from entrance structure excavation to begin the downstream coffer dam <br />' construction. A Cat D6 dozer, Case 40 trackhoe, Clark 175B front end loader and a 12 cubic <br />yard end dump truck were used to construct the coffer dam. <br />' January 4, 1996, the contractor completed construction of the downstream coffer dam. <br />April 17, 1996, contractor begins removal of downstream coffer dam.
