Current and future demand reported by these entities is less than indicated in the Water Needs <br />Assessment. <br />3.1.3.3 Crowley County <br />Crowley County (CC) is located east of Pueblo County and north of Otero County, with the <br />Arkansas River generally serving as the boundary between Otero and Crowley Counties. <br />Major population centers are: Olney Springs, Crowley, Ordway, and Sugar City, which are <br />located along the east-northeast trending State Highway 96. The water systems serving the <br />county include individual municipal distribution systems along with 96 Pipeline Company <br />and the Crowley County Water Association (CCWA). Crowley County wholesales treated <br />water to several distribution systems. Treated drinking water is supplied through public <br />drinking water systems as follows: <br />Town of Olney Springs -Has its own independent water sources and distribution system. <br />(Can tap into CC's system for emergency supply.) <br />Town of Crowley -Has its own distribution system and receives supply from CC. <br />Town of Ordway -Has its own distribution system and receives most of its water from CC. <br />One Town-owned well supplements the supply from CC. <br />96 Pipeline Company -Receives water from CC and provides water to County residents <br />outside the Towns of Ordway and Sugar City. <br />11 <br />GEI Consultants, II7C. 01284 03-0630 feasibdiry Evaluation Final <br />
