Activity 14B - independent G~A/(.~~C Review of DFIRM Product Meeting FEMA <br />• GPaphics and IDatab~se Specifications <br />Res~onsible Mappin~ Partner: FEMA/NSP <br />Scove: Upon completion of the floodplain ma~~ping activities (Activities 10, 10A, and/or l OB) and <br />DFIRM production activities (Activities 13, 14, and 1~A), FEMA/NSP sha11 review the DFIRM to ensure <br />it rneets current FEMA graphics specifications., In adctition, FEMA/NSP shall review the DFIllZM spatial <br />database to determine if it meets cunent FElVI~~ database specifications. FEMA/NSP shall coordinate <br />with FEMA and other Mapping Parlners, as necessary, to resolve any problems identified during this <br />QA/QC review. This work shall ensure that the requu~ments below are met. <br />• All required DF1RM features are accu~~ately and legibly labeled and follow the e~camplles shown <br />in the FEMA DFIRM specifications. 'Chis includes all flood insurance risk zones, BF~s, cross <br />sections, studied streams, mapped political en~tities, and all roads within and adjacent to the 1- <br />percent-annual-chance floodplains; <br />• All DFIIZM features a~e conectly symlbolized with the appropriate symbol, line patterm, or area <br />shading and follow the requirements in Guidelines and Specifications for Flood Hazar~d Mapping <br />ParMers; <br />• All map collar information is completE;, correu~t, and follows the requirements specified in <br />Guidedines and Specif cations for Floc~d Hazard Mapping Partners; <br />• DFIRM mapping files are in one of th~~ GIS file and database formats specified in FEIVIA's <br />Guidelines and Specifications for Floc-d Hazard Mapping Partners and conform to those <br />. specifications for content and attributi~~n; <br />• DFIlZM database files are in one of thi~ datab~se formats specified in FEMA's Guidelanes and <br />Spec~cations for Flood Hazard Map~~ing Pa,rmers and conform to those specifications for <br />content and attribution; <br />• Metadata files describing the DFIRM data include all required information shown in Guidelines <br />and Spec~cations for Flood Hazard 11vlapping ParMers; and <br />• T'he FIS report is pregared in the FEM:A Countywide Format as documented in Appendix J of <br />Guidelines and Spec~cations for Fdood HazGrrd Mapping Parmers. <br />This review will be performed in a timely mar~ner so ~as to eliminate impact to the project schedule. <br />Standards: All work under Activity 14B shall be performed in accordance with the standards specified in <br />Section 5 of this MAS. <br />Deliverables: In accordance with the TSDN fi~rmat described in described in Append'uc M of Guidelines <br />and Spec~cations for Flood Haaard Mapping~ Partners, FEMA/NSP shall make the following products <br />available to FEMA and the C~VCB: <br />• A Summary Report ttflat describes the findings of the QA/QC review noting any deficiencies in or <br />agreeing with the mapping results and. the results of all automated or manual QA/QC steps taken <br />during the independent QA/QC revie~v, <br />• Recommendations to resolve any problems tliat are identified during the independent QA/QC <br />review; and <br />• • An annotated copy of the DFIIZM wit;h all questions and/or concerns indicated, if necessary. <br />Mapping Activity Statement No. 11: Montezuma County} 3 <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />
