Activity 3- Field Survey~ and Reconnaissance Resnonsible Mappin~ Paztner: CWCB Scope: To supplement any field reconnaissana~ conducted during the Project Scoping phase of this project, CWCB shall conduct an appropriate cmd necessary level of field reconnaissance of the specific study a~~ea to determine conditions along the flc-odplain(s), types and numbers of hydraulic and/or flood- control structures, apparent maintenance or laclc thereof of existing hydraulic structures, locations of cross sections to be surveyed, and other parameters needed for the hydrologic and hydraulic analyses. ][n addition to t~e initial fi~ld recotuiaissance, C'WCB shall conduct field surveys as needed, including obtain'vig chanaiel and floodplain cross section~~, identifying or establishing Temporary Bench iVlarks, and ~btaining the physical dimensions of hydraulic and flood-control structures. CWCB also shall coordinate with otlher Mapping Par~~rs that are collecting topographic data under Activity 4. Standa~•ds: All work under Activity 3 shall be ~performed in aceordance with the standards specified in Section~ 5 of this MAS. • Deliverables: In accordance with the Technica.l Support Data Notebook (TSI)N) format described in described in Appendix M of Guidelines and S~recifications for Flood Hazard Mapping Partners, the CWCB~ shall make the following products available to FEMA: • A summary of the findings of the fiefld reconnaissance; • Maps ~nd drawings that provide the d~:tai~ed survey results, if applicable; • Survey notebook containing cross sections and structural data, if applicable; and • NSP Format Survey Database or Interrtnediate Data Delivery consisteait with the NSP Data Capture Standards, if applicable.
