~ ~ <br />B. Project Design (Cost $30,000) <br />1. Review watershed hydrology. The HDFt study investigation is the recommended watershed <br />hydrology for Bosley Wash. <br />2. Review floodplain and channel hydraulic values. The HDR study models shall be the study <br />hydraulic determinations for the Projecl; Design. <br />3. Survey and project mapping will be provided by the GJDD. A hard copy and electronic file of the <br />survey will be provided. The electronic file will include the survey points and surFace used to <br />generate the contours. The survey will include: <br />a. Descriptions of the vertical and horizontal control used <br />b. At least two control points set ai: the site for use during construction <br />c. 1-foot interval contours with spo~t elev~tions at critical locations <br />d. Existing utilities and surface imF~rovements <br />e. The edge of pavement for I-70 <br />f. Size and upstream and downstream flow line elevations of the 1-70 culvert <br />g. Upstream culvert wingwalls <br />h. Property boundaries and right-of-way lines <br />i. Embankment and seepage analysis sh~~ll include all of the required investigations including the <br />spillway design to an engineering standard that is acceptable for the level of risk for this dam <br />design. The dam design standard must meet all the requirements of the Colorado Division of Water <br />Resources - Dam Safety Program approval process. <br />6. Conduct a preliminary environmental assessment to identify permitting and mitigation requirements <br />related threatened and endangered species. If permit and mitigation requirements are identified, <br />the scope of services and correspondin~a fees for those services shall be negotiated prior to <br />beginning the work. <br />7. The project development process shall have a preliminary design phase and a final design. Each <br />design phase will include a review presEmtation to the CWCB and GJDD. <br />8. Quantity and cost determinations for the~ preliminary and final design phases shatl use a unit cost <br />method that is representative of the Grand Junction, Colorado region. <br />9. Following the acceptance of the final de:sign, the consultant shall prepare the final design plans, <br />project specifications, project reports, arid construction documents. <br />10. The consultant shall submit the construction drawings to the State Engineers Office for approval of <br />the dam and shall address one set of review comments. <br />C.
