• Education Liaison Report: Bert Weaver echoes Jerke's sentiments that
the South Platte Tour was one of the most educational eiperiences that
could be imagilied over the course of several da~-s. Thus, we are participating ~zth both the tour and the magazine for
the purpose of focusing on the needs of the South Platte basin. The
edition of the magazine will pull info from both SWASI as well as the
roundtable (October edition.)
• Non-Consumptive Sub-Committee: Bob Streeter: There has not been
any activity- since last reporting. Metro and South Platte Roundtables
continue to work together.
• Phreatoph~,~te Sub-Committee: Bob Streeter: No meeting since last
meeting; however, the Weld Count- contact, Tina Bootie. has had one
meeting and has developed a rough draft for proposal; will meet
tomorrow, July 9. Evolving into weed districts in each count-.
Jerke: So could this group be one that could go for a separate loan,
separate from the roundtable?
Heco~: Still plan on having a report from Yuma Count- on Tamarisk
eradication in October.
Streeter: Yuma County is certainly- acting as a mentor although they-
have moved together quite quicl~h~.
Jerke: Ace all counties moving together?
Streeter: Slowly, it is hoped that Morgan and Washington Counties to be
on board
Alternative Ag Transfer Methods Sub-Committee: This meeting was
canceled ho~~ ever:
Hecoi: CWCB has a L~ million grant program to give grants to entities
that are pursuing alternative transfer products. Last application c~-cle had
~ applications: board approved one of the applications in part and asked
the others to return; the "Super Ditch" was funded: others to return for
further consideration: FRICO had one application and CSU and Parker
had one application; these will be heard further at newt meeting after
further work per board requests; in November meeting, further
applications can be presented.
