South Platte Basin Roundtable Meeting Agenda July 8, 2008 Longmont, CO Southwest Weld County Building 4209 Weld County Rd 24 '/z 4:00 - 8:00 Standard Reports • IBCC Report: Eric Willcinson: Has been no activity- since last report: nest meeting is in August. • CWCB Report: nest meeting is Jule 22, 23 in Cortez; CWCB has had public meetings around the state for public input on potential n~les changes that are contemplated for in-stream flow Ind acquisition of in- strea~n flo~y per legislation passed in 2008. Legislative Report: Diane Hoppe: Interim Committee went «;ith the Water Education Foundation's South Platte tour; had opportuiuty to see an extremely- «e11 managed rives; nest meeting in Gunnison on Ju1~- 23 at Western State: nest meeting is at CO Water Congress in Vail; no proposed legislation has been issued b~- committee at this time. Sept 23 is final date for and- ne~y legislation to be proposed. Bill Jerlce: Would it be appropriate for an~T testimony for possible legislation? Dianne: Yes, there is al«avs an open comment period; at Vail meeting they are anticipating having testilnon~- on ne~y technology ;thus, CO Water Congress would be a good time to make aii open comment. Bill: Formal request to Eric Hecox to keep us in mind for the agenda of the Water Congress. Don Ament: June 18 at Capital «as last interim meeting; bulls of this meeting ~~ as spent on Senator Romei's proposal for cistei7i collection of water; this has not gone a«a~-. Don Ament: Ever~-one interested in this: so many thitilc that ``roof-top" ~yater makes sense: perhaps, as a developer with no ~~-ater this could he a good idea.
