t, 1 l~~
Task
Task 43
Task 44
Basin
~ Task 51 ~ Phase 3 Management
A significant amount of work has been completed by previous investigators related to ground
water conditions in the study area, as summarized in the SPDSS Feasibility Study and in the
Groundwater Phase 1 and Phase 2 deliverables. The Phase 3 field data collection program (Tasks
33, 34,and 39) is a continuation of the Phase 1 and Phase 2 field data collection efforts to fill data
gaps identified after historical data were collected and analyzed (see Phase 1 Tasks 31, 32, 38,
and Phases i ,and 2, Tasks 42, 43 and 44). Data obtained from the Phase 3 field data collection
program will be analyzed and either added to the existing groundwater databases and maps (under
Tasks 42, 43, and 44), or be used to undertake new analyses and mapping (Task 41). The
databases, analyses and maps also will be used to update the alluvial portion of the existing
groundwater model of the Denver Basin Region (Task 47), and to support and expand modeling
the alluvial aquifer of the Lower South Platte Region (Task 48).
All deliverables will be consistent with the DSS design, including use of data structures and
formats that are being developed by the Database DSS contractor. Deliverables will use DSS
standards for memo formats, report formats, and database design.
Task 30: Collect Historic Municipal and Industrial (M&I) Pumping Data
Objective:
The objective of this task is to obtain available historic records of groundwater pumping and
update Hydrobase with these data.
Approach:
SPDSS Groundwater SOW, Phase 3
