lir. T,. Wright Dickimn 13659-.RXIP
c/o.Mr. R. E. Johnson
. : Mini ?+2008
P age
six test borings will be, advanced to approximate depths of 15 l' ct below the existing ground
surface within potential borrow areas located upstream of the proposed darn..
The test borings will be drilled using a truck-mounted drill rig and solid flight or hollow-
sten) augers. No rock drilling or sampling is proposed. Soil samples will be taken using
conventional sp1_it spoon. and, thin-walled tube samplers at intervals determined by the
project engineer.
Soil or rock conditions that cannot be drilled and sampled using the proposed equipment and
techniques will be considered a changed condition, and may require a renegot:i anon of the
pr j ect scope and fees.
2. Geotechnical En 'neering_Analysis and Report
Samples will be visually classified and tested for appropriate index and engineering
properties. Engineering analyses to determine potential settlement, seepage, and slope
stability of proposed embankments will be performed, as required., to provide
recommendations regarding site preparation and earthwork.. A report will be prepared that
will describe the work performed, subsoil conditions encountered, and recommendations.
Test results and test boring logs will be included in the report.
Our proposal is based on the following conditions:
1. our truck-mounted drill rig w 11 have direct access to all test boring locations, and that all
test borings can be drilled consecutively, without delay.
. Each test boring will be abandoned by placing cuttings back lnLt Ahe borehole. Excess soil
cuttings will remain on site. Repairing test boring settlement that occurs after we leave the
project site, or any surface restoration that nay l e roq uired, is not Inberg-Millen Eng;nee `
responsibility.
1'o test bon ngs will be drilled throIugh concrete.
. All applicable utilities must be located prior to our arrival on site. I:nberg-Miller
Engineers will contact the appropriate "One Calla' underground utility locate service, and
provide the available project and site information requested by the locate service. The
utilities located will only be as accurate as the locates performed, and the information
provided by the utility owners notified by the locate service. we .request that any other
underground utilities not covered by the "{one Call" underground utility locate service, be
located. by T. Wright Dickinson or RE Johnson. The other underground utilities must be
located in a manner consistent with utilities marked by the "One all" underground
Subsonface Exploration Pmposa l 4106
