Changed deliveries for minimum streamfl ow below Ridgway Reservoir from th e
?
M&I account to the Minpool account.
Evaluated procedures to account for re servoir evaporation in determining th e
?
reservoir's single fill rule. This may be incorrectly tracking how much water i s
stored in a reservoir.
Evaluated inflows to Ridgway Reservoir. Model appears to fill reservoir to o
?
quickly during winter and not in peak spring runoff months. This may be th e
reason for too much water in the Uncompahgre valley, which tends to limi t
Gunnison Tunnel deliveries.
Checking diversions through the Gunni son Tunnel; still not taking enough water ,
?
possibly because of too much native flow in the Uncompahgre.
01-04-95 Updated the agricultural diversion dema nds for the North Fork, Smith Fork, Middl e
?
Gunnison, and Uncompahgre Valley to in corporate revised consumptive use tim e
series obtained from version 0.99 of GUNMOD.
Revised reservoir targets for Blue Mesa , Taylor Park, and Ridgway reservoirs.
?
01-10-95 Changed physical capacity of the Fire Mountain Canal at 209 cfs based o n
?
information from GUNMOD version 0.99.
Performed additional QA/QC on the inflow s above Ridgway Re servoir, including a
?
comparison of the USGS gage flows for the Uncompahgre River above th e
reservoir to the GUNMOD inflow dataset.
01-11-95 Checked all network inflows in MODSIM (Cal3.6) to veri fy that they are the sam e
?
as GUNMOD 0.99. Checked all demands in MODSIM to verify that they are th e
same as those in GUNMOD 0.99. Some discrepancies were noted and corrected.
01-16-95 Crystal and Marrow Point reservoirs were added to the MODSIM model a s
?
operating reservoirs so that in the futu re the reservoirs could be drawn down b y
releases if desired by the user. This al so enables a computation of the evaporatio n
loss. Target storage levels are set at the maximum storage capacity to keep th e
reservoirs full to the extent possible.
Changed the storage links connecting Blue Mesa and Ridgway reservoirs to th e
?
demands of the Uncompahgre project can als such that only the M&D, South, an d
West canals have direct access to storage water.
Made small revision in the operation of the Project 7 exchange link to pull th e
?
amount of water flowing through the Fair view Feeder canal from the M&I accoun t
in Ridgway Reservoir and put it into the UVWUA exchange account.
Filled in data gaps for evaporation time series for the smaller reservoirs in th e
?
network.
3
A275 02.23.94 1.15-27 Fosha, Ritsch
