.

.

.

effective tenth-foot floodway and 500-year product 6 corridor delineations as shown on Sheet
LIB.

It should be noted that within the current study reach, at Cross Sections AQ:226167,
AR:227397, 227437, AS:228117, the effective tenth-foot floodway has a O.2-foot surcharge.
The tenth-foot floodway surcharges in excess of 0.1 feet were accepted by the City of Fort
Collins as shown in Appendix B.l.4. The effective COFC floodway data table is located in
Appendix B.l.4. The input/output HEC-2 printouts for the effective tenth-foot rise floodway
model are provided in Appendix G. A digital copy of the effective HEC-2 models utilized for
the current study is provided on the disk included with this report.
Due to incompatibility between HEC-2's split flow methodology and HEC-2's flow
distribution methodology; QT cards in the product 6 corridor model [RCUP5D05] were
"hardwired" to the calculated discharge values from the LOW599 and RCUPR505 500-year
floodplain models. A comparison of the effective product 6 corridor delineation and the Oxbow
Levee Project as-built topography (see Appendix BA.6) indicated that the levee project did not
encroach on the product 6 corridor. Therefore. based on direction from City of Fort Collins staff
and no topographic modifications within the effective product 6 corridor; updating the effective
product 6 corridor model was not required for the current study.

COFC2003-10 Oxbow FINAL LOMR.doc

3.9

ANdERSON CONsulTiNG ENGiNEERS, INC.
