.

.

.

IV. DUPLICATE EFFECTIVE CONDITION HYDRAULIC ANALYSES

The duplicate effective analysis involved obtaining and re-running the effective models
and then comparing the results of the duplicate effective models with data published in the 1996
FIS, the 1999 LOMR, and the 2005 Removal Action LOMR. The objectives of the duplicate
effective analyses were to ensure that the computer models used as the basis for the CUlTent study
are the models utilized for the effective FIS and effective LOMRs, and that the hardware and
software used to conduct the current study are compatible with that utilized for the effective FIS
and effective LOMRs.

4.1 FEMA Analyses

The effective FEMA models for the current study on the Cache la Poudre River were
previously listed and described in Table 3.1. Each of the models listed in Table 3.1 were
obtained, re-named, and re-run in HEC-2 Version 4.6.2 without making any changes to the
effective models. Table 4.1 lists the model names utilized in the duplicate effective analysis and
the corresponding effective FEMA model.

Table 4.1 Effective and Duplicate FEMA Model Names.

Effective Model Name Duplicate Effective Models
UPPERQ DEUQ06
RCUPROS DEU06
UPPER500 DEUQ506
RCUPR505 DEUS06
LINC DELINC06
RCUP1F05 DEUIF06
IFTFW99 DELlF06
IFTFLWAY DEIF06
LOWQ99 DELQ06
LOW599 DEL506

COFC2003-1O Oxbow FINAL LOMR.doc

4.1

ANdERSON CONsulTiNG ENGiNEERS, INC.
