The methods and results of t11is task are described in Section 1 of this Technical Memorandum
(TM).
Water level data from data loggers installed in the 42 SPDSS monitoring wells were
downloaded. The methods and results of this task are described u1 Section 2.
In Phase 3, wells completed in the Denver Basin bedrock aquifers were identified and equipped
with data loggers to provide continuous records of water level fluctuations >11 areas near major
pumping centers. The methods and results of the selection of these wells are described in
Section 3.
Also in Phase 3, selected wells >11 the DWR, SPDSS, and Central Colorado Water Conservancy
District (CCWCD) water level monitoring programs were surveyed by a Colorado licensed
surveyor to provide horizontal and vertical (elevation) data for the wells. The elevation data
will be used to improve the vertical accuracy of t11e groundwater level measurements for fl1e
SPDSS modeling efforts. The methods and results of this task are described in Section 4.
This TM documents fl1e methods and results of t11e four activities described above, and focuses
on field data collection with limited analysis of the data provided. Sections 5 and 6 present a
summary and recommendations, respectively, of these activities. Data collected >11 this task will
be provided to the SPDSS project manager for inclusion into HydroBase.
Approach
The following table sununarizes the sections contained u1 this TM.
Section Descri tion
1.0 Bi-Annual Water Level Data
1.1 Water Level Data Collection
1.2 Anal sis of Bi-Annual Data
2.0 Wells With Continuous Data Lo Qers
2.1 Data Petrieval
2.2 Anal sis of Contnuous Measurements
3.0 Installation of Data LoQQers >11 Bedrock Wells for Loner-Term Monitoring
3.1 Selection of Wells
3.2 Installation of Monitor>lzQ E ui ~ment
4.0 Monitoring Well Surve inQ
5.0 Sununar and Conclusions
6.0 Recoirunendations
7.0 Peferences

Appendices
A Evaluation of the Sonic Water Level Meter
B Autumn Water Level Measurement Letter
C Autumn 2006 Water Level Measurements
SPDSS Phase 4 Task 39 Technical Memorandum-Final
O~i20%2008
