MEMO -TASK 91
Figure 7. Example Hard Copy Map with Notes from Water User Meetings
2.4.5 QAQC Edited Maps
After the edits were performed, the data was checked for quality assurance and quality control by the
engineer who attended the meeting. Another quality control check, comparing the meeting maps with the
digital data, was performed by a third engineer. All of the service area edits and updates were recorded in
the Ditch Company Contact Database illustrated in Appendix D. This includes notes about the meetings,
phone calls, edits performed, and the QAQC steps.
2.5 Review and Final Mapping
After the initial water user and water commissioner meetings were completed, a final review process
began. First, water commissioners were contacted and a second meeting was scheduled. All of the water
commissioners participated in the secondary review meetings. New irrigated parcel maps were printed
for the meetings. The new maps contained all of the corrections and edits from previous meetings. The
maps were reviewed following the same procedures used in prior meetings. The water commissioners
were very satisfied with the mapping and very few corrections were made.
The next step in the review process required contacting the large ditch companies and scheduling a
second irrigation meeting at their convenience. For the remaining ditch companies, mostly smaller ones,
a final review was conducted during atwo-day workshop in each water district. A few companies unable
to attend at the scheduled time were rescheduled at their convenience. Table 5 shows the percentage of
ditch companies met during the final review process and the percentage of irrigated lands reviewed by
district. All of the ditch companies were sent a final map of their service area and asked to contact RTi if
there were any changes that needed to be made.
Page 11 of 55 ~Rlyerslde FecAno[o`(!~Y Inc.
4'JaYer Resourer..s Errgi~ecr:np an~i L'ansuFlrnd
