RwAPA has taken an active rate <br />in negotiations with the Bureau of Reclamation regarding management of Ruedi Reservoir <br />and the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project; has participated an various water planning efforts <br />including the Colorado Basin Roundtable and the Sw"Si process; and has .made appearances <br />before the CwCB on topics ranging from mum stream flaws to adn~nis~ratian of the <br />recovery program for endangered fish in the Colorado River. ~ its 25 years of existence, the <br />Ruedi water and Power Authority has undertaken, eider as a sponsor, cosponsor, ar <br />facilitating agency, a number of local and regional planning efforts. Those efforts include <br />several local hydropower feasibility studies, the Regional. 20S Plan ~1998~2000}, the Roaring <br />Fork Stability Plan ~ ~ 999}, the Fryi.n.gpan River Economic Survey ~2oo~} the Fryingpan <br />:habitat Study ~ZOO3~2oo4} and the Basalt River Stabilization Flan X200 l }, Partners in these <br />efforts have included the Roaring Fork Conservancy, the Colorado River water Conservation <br />District, the Town of Basalt, the City of Aspen, the City of Glenwood Springs, the <br />Environmental. Protection Agency, the Colorado Divis~.on of wildlife, the Army Corps of <br />Engineers, the Northwest Colorado Council of Governments and various private consultants. <br />The Authority has received a number of grants on behalf of local agencies and has represented <br />the local watershed at various state and regional meetings and conferences. Meetings are fully <br />noticed, open to the public, and carried out in accordance with state sunshine laws and other <br />applicable regulations.
