Green Mountain and Ruedi Reservoir Operation
Green Mountain Reservoir was operated in general co.~pliance with
Senate Document 80. The 52,000 acre-root pool was used exclusively
for replace~ent of Colorado-Big Thompson out Or priority diversions.
Because of the unknown future use of the 100,000 acre-feet of Green
Mountain capacity, it was filled in each year from surplus Shoshone
flows and was assumed to be released in September. This release was
treated as ir it \oJere a transmountain diversion,- i.e., a 100 percent
depletion.
In the operation study, Ruedi Reservoir was filled to the extent
possible each year. An average of 58,400 acre-feet was released in
the same rashion and accounted for in the same manner as releases rrom

Green Mountain Reservoir.

Cameo Requirements
In Senate Document 80 it is stated that lithe ruture demands (Cameo)
are then estimated as 1,800 second-feet in the months of May to August,
inclusive, tapering off uniformly to 800 second-feet on April and
Nove'TIber 30." In the \"Iater studies it IfJas assumed that these require-
ments would be met each month and each year. The future Cameo require-
ments, set forth in Senate Document 80, are compared to the actual use
in 1977, a very critical runorr year, in the rollowing table.
