Education Program conducted through the Aurora Water Office of
Water Conservation. Our Youth Education Program is an important part of Aurora's
overall Water Conservation Plan. Project WET has always been the foundation for this
program providing hands-on. training for staff and activities that we could incorporate
into our message.. However, in 2007 with the support of a full timeP'toject WET
coordinator in Colorado, we have been able to expand our award winning youth
education program.. The support we receive from project WET and the Colorado Project
WET coordinator is a critical component to the current success of our youth education
programs and the ability to carry out our Youth Education Outreach within our
Conservation Plan. We strongly support continued funding of this critical outreach
program in Colorado~

The current Project WET program supports our efforts by providing training for our staff,
participation and curriculum for educational events and classroom presentations as well
as supplies, technical support and staff to conduct our annual "Forests to Faucets" teacher
training. We are better prepared and able to reach more students with this support.

Training
Project WET trainings have not only enhanced our Aurora Water Youth Education
team's water education knowledge, but have also provided critical background to other
City of Aurora Water employees.
